The Odeon Cinemas was to be the focal point of a regenerated waterfront marina to be built concurrently with the new adjacent University of Lincoln which today has more than 10,000 students.
The cinema was to have 9 screens with seating for up to 2000 people. There was also a refurbished multi storey car park and a selection of restaurants and pub s including Ask, Wetherspoons, Nandos, Ben and Jerry’s, Costa to name a few.
The challenge was to work sympathetically on a Roman waterway and reclaimed land subject to seasonal flooding and to blend the development into the classic view of Lincoln’s cathedral and medieval hillside.
